a community partnership school established with support from Polish Aid
In 2022, IEI Pakistan, in collaboration with Polish Aid, proudly inaugurated the Ispinj Early Years School in the serene Ispinj Village of Chipursan Valley, Gilgit Baltistan. This initiative addresses a crucial need for enhanced education access and quality in the region.
Before the establishment of our school, children aged 2-5 in Ispinj village were deprived of quality learning opportunities, significantly impacting their early development. Recognizing this gap, the Ispinj community reached out to IEI Pakistan in 2021 for assistance. With the generous support of Polish Aid, IEI and the community collaborated in a unique partnership model to create a custom-designed early years school.
Prior to the establishment of the school, children between ages 2-5 in Ispinj village lacked access to an early years classroom and quality learning opportunities, creating a glaring gap in their early development. In 2021 the Ispinj community reached out to IEI Pakistan for support to overcome this gap and provide early learning access to their children. With Polish Aid’s support as a partner, IEI and the community were able to work together in a community partnership model to establish a custom designed, early years school and create a sustainable impact on improving early learning outcomes and child wellbeing.
The school is currently operational under IEI, with 20 enrolled students.
